Founded as Telscombe Raiders Football Club in 2021, our club was initially set up by a small group of grassroots football coaches that felt on reflection that more could be done to give all children a chance to play football. The club was set up as a C.I.C. to help encourage the local community to get active and help combat the decline in physical and mental well-being suffered in lockdown, with all profits to be reinvested into the club and facilities.

Our club founders knew it had to be more than this and created tiers of memberships from, free social sessions, non-league and league football training and matches. The aim was to allow all children at all abilities a chance to enjoy football at a level they felt comfortable with. So far we have helped a total of 18 volunteers into FA qualified coaching roles and a supported a further 2 volunteers through FA referee courses. Driving the club forward, Telscombe Raiders has been able to provide great development and grown its members from 86 members in the first ever year to 162 in the second year…

Telscombe Raiders offers multiple sessions such as Men’s and Women’s VETs, youth league and non-league football, our ever popular Mini Raider’s sessions, and new for season 2023/2024 our first ever Men’s League Team and Wildcats sessions!

Our VETs and Mini’s sessions are FREE, set up to help give people an easy option to get active and be social. We feel this is an important part of what we are about.

We run on a small amount of volunteers but they are at the heart of everything we do and make a huge positive impact to those that attend our sessions. Due to their hard work and diligence, we are already in a place where we can apply for our 2 star England Football Accreditation, which is just incredible!

We have had generous sponsors over the last couple of years and enjoyed representing them with our team shirts on the pitch! With more partnerships and sponsors, we can get closer to hitting our target to transforming the facilities up at our ground and keep building on the great sessions we provide.
